- SYMPTOMS. Signs may include severe pain after eating, heartburn, belching of
- acid, pain under the breastbone that may radiate to the back, appetite loss.
- CAUSES are unclear at this time. The ulcer of the esophagus is similar to a
- peptic (stomach or duodendal) ulcer.
- TREATMENT. Medication may be required.
