  2. SYMPTOMS. Signs may include severe pain after eating, heartburn, belching of
  3. acid, pain under the breastbone that may radiate to the back, appetite loss.
  4. CAUSES are unclear at this time. The ulcer of the esophagus is similar to a
  5. peptic (stomach or duodendal) ulcer.
  6. TREATMENT. Medication may be required.
  7. .A bland diet and elimination of certain foods may be required.
